Diversifying from eBay!

This last week was quite the shock to the eBay stores community. eBay is increasing their fees for store owners and people are not happy. I will continue to stay at eBay but my store stock will greatly decrease as a result of this.

A few months ago I opened a shop on Ruby Lane, Lilly's Vintage Jewelry on RL, and I am glad that I did. Actually my sales on RL have been much better then the eBay store, Jewels to Auto Parts, that I have had for years. Are people shying away from eBay because they are getting burned? That's kind of what I've been hearing in the collecting field for Vintage Jewelry.

In Jan 2006, I opened my own website, Lilly's Vintage Jewelry, but everyone knows that websites take a while to get going. That is my long range plan! I just was getting tired of paying huge fees to eBay every month and knew that long term, I had to do something.

A little bit about me. My name is Lilly.
I started selling things on eBay because
we moved to the country and I couldn't
have a successful garage sale in the
middle of corn fields. I found that it
is fun and something that I can do to
bring in a little money while being a
stay at home mom. I do this because I
enjoy it and I try to make all my
transactions a very pleasant experience
for everyone involved. My daughter & I
love shopping around for treasures to
bring to the wonderful people that I get
to deal with on eBay.
I have become addicted to vintage costume
jewelry, so that's mainly what I find to
bring you!

Then my husband got involved!
My husband is very supportive of
what I'm doing. So much so that
he is finding more things for
me. Hence the auto parts (mainly
Jeeps) that I get to list!
Sometimes he gets a little bossy
and I have to remind him that
this is my thing and I try
keeping it fun.
